The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released a new course of study for missionary preparation classes designed to help future missionaries prepare spiritually, physically, and emotionally for missionary service.

The new teacher's guide, Missionary Preparation: A Teaching Resource, is now available in thirty-eight languages in the Gospel Library and the mobile app. The course will be taught using the same curriculum throughout the Church, unifying missionary preparation across wards, stakes, and Institutes.

The course of study is based on future missionaries' study of Preach My Gospel: A Guide to Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The second edition of this manual was published in 2023, nearly twenty years after its initial release.

The Church President, Russell M. Nelson, said then: "As you study and apply the teachings in the second edition of *Preach My Gospel*, the scriptures, and the words of living prophets, you will be blessed. Your testimony will be strengthened, and your ability to share the Savior's gospel will increase."

Participants in the missionary preparation course will learn the missionary purpose and see how it can guide them in their current lives and all aspects of missionary work. They will also practice skills to help them become better Gospel teachers and more emotionally resilient individuals.

Ultimately, students will be empowered to make commitments that will help them live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, prepare for missionary service, and share the Savior's gospel with family and friends.

The new manual's introduction states, "Everything in this course is designed to help students strengthen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel. With conversion comes a greater desire to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others."

Leaders and teachers involved in establishing, administering, or facilitating missionary preparation courses are encouraged to review the new course of study and prayerfully consider who might benefit from it. Participants will benefit from this course as teachers adapt the content to meet local needs.

The manual's introductory materials guide the organization of missionary preparation classes. The new S&I Help Center provides additional resources for institute leaders to connect with a community of instructors and share ideas.

The combined efforts of leaders and teachers to prepare future missionaries will help them—and those they teach—come to Christ.
