This initiative, led by the Church’s humanitarian arm, provided vital infrastructure and equipment to support the empowerment and development of individuals with disabilities across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The donation included the construction of a sewing room, installation of a security system and gate, a traffic mirror, air conditioning units, computers, electronics for a kitchen, upgrades to the computer room and hall, and a new signboard. These resources are expected to significantly improve the quality of life and vocational opportunities for members of the Voice of the Disabled Inc.
President Cozy Stewart, local representative of the Church, emphasized the spiritual foundation of the initiative. “We are striving to emulate the example of our Savior Jesus Christ,” he said. “Jesus Christ is the perfect example—He gave a voice to the voiceless, and so can we.”

Ms. En Walters, a key figure in the Voice of the Disabled Inc., encouraged attendees to care for the donated items and to remember the sacrifices made by others to make this project possible. “This donation will help members become more equipped not only at the center but also at home,” she said. “Come out and learn the skills—whether in the kitchen or the sewing room—and allow yourself to earn an income.”
Ms. Walters also echoed President Stewart’s remarks, highlighting the love of Jesus Christ and His mission to uplift those in need. She reminded the audience of the scripture found in Mosiah 2:17: “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”
The Church’s humanitarian efforts in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines reflect a broader commitment to community development, inclusion, and self-reliance. Through partnerships with local organizations like Voice of the Disabled Inc., the Church continues to support meaningful change and provide hope to underserved populations.
This ceremony not only celebrated the completion of a successful project but also reaffirmed the shared values of compassion, service, and dignity for all.
