The event, which began promptly at 7:00 PM, brought together members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from approximately 12 branches across the country, including Linden, Georgetown, Tuschen, and Berbice.
More than a musical performance, the concert became a deeply spiritual experience. Pacheco’s emotionally rich vocals and heartfelt testimony created an atmosphere of reverence and joy, moving many to tears. His music, known for its spiritual depth and vocal beauty, served as a sincere expression of faith and devotion to Jesus Christ.
The dedication of attendees was evident—some traveled up to four hours to be part of what many described as a once-in-a-lifetime event. The atmosphere was described as glowing with love, hope, and peace.
Kelisa Solomon of the Demerara Branch shared:
“Seeing Nathan Pacheco in concert has truly been a remarkable spiritual moment for me. As I listened to his music and the testimony he shared, it brightened a light within me which made me feel connected to the Savior Jesus Christ and uplifted in peace. I felt a sense of calmness as I sat amongst other members singing along to his music and feeling the room be lit with love, happiness, and excitement. It truly was a night for the soul—my soul felt uplifted!”
Cynthia Stewart from the Berbice District also reflected:
“Last night, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a Nathan Pacheco concert, and it was truly unforgettable. His voice was powerful yet soothing, filling the room with emotion and beauty. Many of the songs were about Jesus Christ, which made the entire experience deeply spiritual and uplifting. The way he blended classical and contemporary styles created such a moving atmosphere, and every song felt like it told a story straight from the heart. I left feeling inspired, peaceful, and touched in a way that words can hardly describe.”
Youth also found deep meaning in the concert. Seventeen-year-old Orande Goodluck of the Georgetown District shared:
“Good evening everyone, my name is Orande Goodluck. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My experience of going to the concert is that I felt very peaceful, belonged, and hopeful. The singer of the concert sang many songs which gave me a warm feeling. I'm very grateful that I had the experience, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
Among the distinguished guests were Neil Bacchus, Secretary and CEO of the Indigenous Peoples’ Commission and a leading figure in interreligious dialogue, who brought decades of experience in public service and human rights advocacy. Also in attendance were Elder and Sister Corbit of the Caribbean Area Presidency and Elder and Sister VanGils, whose presence added to the spiritual significance of the event.
This unforgettable evening stands as a testament to the power of music and shared belief to transcend boundaries, unite hearts, and strengthen the bonds of fellowship among members of the Church throughout Guyana. It was a night filled with light, peace, and a shared witness of the love of Jesus Christ—truly, a celebration for the soul.
