Religious Leaders in Trinidad and Tobago Strengthen Dialogue and Collaboration with the Church of Jesus Christ

Trinidad and Tobago — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held a gathering with religious leaders in Trinidad and Tobago, including representatives from the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the All Saints Anglican Church, with the purpose of strengthening interfaith dialogue, promoting mutual respect, and fostering collaborative relationships focused on strengthening faith, families, and community well-being.

Among the participants were President Christopher Danzell, president of the Port of Spain Trinidad Stake; Bishop Emrol Gould and Sister Laurel Gould; Pastor Brian De Freitas and Sharon De Freitas of the Stanmore Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church; and Reverend Canon Richard Jacob of the All Saints’ Anglican Church.

During the gathering, discussions focused on youth participation in congregations, strengthening families, and the social impact following the pandemic. Leaders also shared experiences related to community service, family support, and the importance of creating spaces for spiritual and social support.

Through initiatives like these, The Church of Jesus Christ continues to promote understanding, respect, and cooperation centered on service and the strengthening of more united and compassionate communities.
