Download PhotoSan Juan, Puerto Rico. - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced its commitment to continue promoting principles of faith, love, and hope in collaboration with Puerto Rico's newly elected governor, Jenniffer González Colón, with the aim of fostering social transformation.
The Church of Jesus Christ emphasized its dedication to working alongside the government and other institutions in Puerto Rico. Additionally, it reiterated the importance of strengthening families as the foundation for building a strong and unified society.
"We join in wishing success to our governor and her team, trusting that they will lead with wisdom, integrity, and a desire to serve the people of Puerto Rico," said Herminio Gómez, Communications Director of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Puerto Rico, alongside José R. Toro, President of the Toa Baja Stake
During the First Faith-Based Gathering, held as part of the official inauguration events for the new governor of Puerto Rico, the Church also emphasized the societal need to live a life centered on Jesus Christ.
Among the dignitaries at the event organized by Governor González Colón were Erick Kolthoff, Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court; Moisés Román, President of the Evangelical MI Churches of Puerto Rico; and other religious leaders.
